Yellow e-ticket with drawing by Katrīna Vidnere is ready
On January 27 representatives of “Rīgas satiksme” visited Riga secondary boarding school for children with impaired hearing to congratulate Katrīna Vidnere, who won in the contest of drawings for the new e-ticket. The drawing of Katrīna received 1084 votes of “Rīgas satiksme” webpage visitors.
In May 2015 “Rīgas satiksme” organized a contest of drawings for the new e-ticket, in which pupils from secondary boarding school for children with impaired hearing participated with eight drawings dedicated to theme “Modern public transport”. Every visitor of website www.rigassatiskme.lv could vote for the drawings, which collected 2393 votes in total.
The tradition of “Rīgas satiksme” to organize an annual event for children, during which a new design of e-ticket is created, started six years ago. In 2010 and 2012 “Rīgas satiksme” was visited by children from Riga orphanages, in 2013 – by pupils of Jānis Rozentāls Riga secondary school of arts and Latvian Academy of Artistic Fantasy of Children and Youth. In 2014 “Rīgas satiksme” received former patients of the Hemato-Oncology Department of the Children Hospital, but in 2015 children from youth centre “Mīlgrāvis”. Despite the new design, the functions of e-ticket remain unchanged and it will function like before.
